SingHacks
A travel insurance prototype for exploring policies, asking about coverage, and preparing claim information through conversation.

Coverage and Claims
SingHacks explores two travel insurance tasks: understanding coverage before a trip and assembling incident details for a claim. Users describe their needs through text or voice and can supply images or documents, then review the extracted details, correct mistakes, and fill in missing information.
The experience leads to plain language coverage explanations or a reviewed claim request prepared for an insurer or support representative. Policy issuance, payments, claim decisions, and settlement are simulated handoffs in the prototype, not real insurance transactions.
Preparing Insurance Information From Mixed Inputs
Bringing Speech and Documents Into the Conversation
The Next.js and React design combines conversation, speech processing, and optical character recognition (OCR). Spoken descriptions and information extracted from images or documents become structured information that the user can review in one flow. The same intake approach supports two different tasks: describing travel needs for policy discovery and describing an incident for a claim.
Reviewing the Information Before Handoff
The review step lets the user correct extracted details and supply missing fields before preparing the request. Coverage discovery leads to a plain language explanation; claim intake leads to an assembled account and supporting material for an insurer or support representative. The project documentation connects these intake tasks to distinct policy and claims workflows.
