Making Legal Consultations Easier with OpenClaw
I showed founders preparing for a trademark consultation how an AI assistant can organize their documents, dates, and questions so a lawyer has a clearer starting point.

Make the First Consultation More Useful
Drawing on my startup work, I used OpenClaw to prepare a Singapore trademark consultation pack. It brings together company and application documents, notices, and evidence of public use, keeping the original record beside the facts. Missing information becomes a question for the consultation rather than an answer the assistant fills in.
The talk explains why dates and authority to act for the company need to be clear before the meeting. It also considers where sensitive case material is stored and processed. This is preparation for professional review, not legal advice or a decision about whether a trademark application or opposition will succeed.
Assembling a Trademark Consultation Pack
Intake Fields and Source Documents
Intake captured legal names, incorporation and authorization documents, application number, filing date, Nice classes, and evidence of public use. Original documents and Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) material supported the extracted facts. The pack kept the underlying record available so a lawyer could check the assistant's organization against the source.
Dates and Unanswered Procedural Questions
Filing, opposition notice receipt, and first use dates stayed separate because they describe different events. Registration and opposition topics informed which documents to collect, including goods and services, counter statements, statutory declarations, and forms. Missing authority to act remained a question for review rather than an assumption that the founder could proceed.
Storage and Processing Boundaries
I compared Mattermost, local memory engines, and gateway, model, and skill options. A document's storage location is distinct from the services allowed to process it: keeping a file locally does not by itself keep model processing local. Source terms and applicable procedures also remained part of deciding how the consultation record could be used.
