Making Business Intelligence Beautiful with OpenClaw

I showed how a business team can use a dashboard to see its data and an AI assistant to explore questions about the numbers.

Dashboard, Data, Assistant

The demonstration paired a dashboard built with Lovable with an OpenClaw assistant working alongside it. The dashboard presents the information visually; the assistant helps explore the underlying data. The two serve different parts of the same task rather than replacing the business records with a chat response.

I explained why the meaning of each measure and the information the assistant may use need to be settled before asking questions. The talk connects a clearer presentation of the numbers with controlled access to them, so the interface and the analysis are based on an agreed view of the data.

Connecting Data to a Dashboard and Analysis

Presentation and Querying Have Different Roles

Lovable supplied the dashboard, BigQuery stored and queried the business data, and OpenClaw supported follow up analysis questions alongside the interface.

Define Measures Before Asking Questions

Metrics were defined and datasets limited before querying. An agreed meaning for a measure gives the visual display and the assistant's analysis a common basis. Limiting the available data also makes the permitted scope explicit instead of letting a broad business question imply access to every dataset.

Controls Across the Integration

I assigned controls separately to OpenClaw's gateway, models, and skills; Lovable's access and network configuration; and BigQuery access through the managed Lovable integration.
